This 17thC Palladian house, home of the Marquess of Hertford, was designed by Robert Hook in 1680. Completely restored and redecorated with French furniture, porcelain and paintings, finest baroque plasterwork in England in Great Hall, designed by James Gibbs 1750. Also 'The Temptation', a mural covering walls and ceilings of south staircase hall, painted by Graham Rust 1969-1983.
